Tasting Bar Donations
Continuing with the project we started last year in order to help the growth of our community, we will not be charging for tastings at our ciderbar and will instead ask our customers to pitch into the charity donation pot when they come to the bar for a tasting. The donation pot will be prominently placed at the bar along with information about the charity. What is the right amount to pitch in? It is based on what you can afford. A little bit here and a little bit there is what matters, so no matter how small your contribution, it will make a difference. A different charity will be chosen for each month based on whether it is local or whether the charity touched our family personally. Please check our calendar of events to read more about the charities, and to gain access to their websites.

Our charity for the month of June continues to be the Kinsol Trestle Foundation .
July
Our charity for the month of July is the Bamberton Historical Society .

Join us Saturday evening for a live dinner theatre on our orchard decks!
Wednesday, July 7th – Saturday, July 10th:
Merridale is attending the 11th annual Ska Festival in Victoria. Buy your tickets soon for this four day event, which will be jam packed with concerts, workshops and of course Merridale Cider.
Friday, July 9th – Sunday, July 11th:
Merridale will be pouring at Vancouver Island music fest. This three day event is filled with performances through out the day until midnight each night. Visit the website for more info and the music line up!
Thursday, July 15th:
Merridale is pouring at the Victoria festival of food and wine, Taste Victoria. The event takes place from 6:30 pm-9 pm at Crystal Gardens with an earlier show for the trade!
Saturday, July 17th:
Mt. Washington is hosting the Big Day Up, an outdoor concert featuring The Cat Empire, Daniel Wesley, Nine Mile, Sweatshop Union and many more to come. Alongside the entertainment, you can enjoy our refreshing cider available in the beer garden!
Friday, July 23rd – Sunday, July 25th:
Enjoy our cider with the music line-up at this years Island Folk Fest. Enjoy the music, cider and atmosphere at this festival held at Providence Farm.
Sunday, July 25th:
The Tour of Farms comes to the Cowichan Valley again! This free, family-oriented, self-guided event offers opportunity to learn more about the importance of farming and food sustainability. Between 10 am and 4 pm over 15 farms from the Saanich Peninsula to Parksville will be taking part. So, come out to Merridale and enjoy hay rides, tours, tasting, bistro lunches and more!
Saturday, July 31st – Sunday, August 1st:
The Victoria Electronic Music Festival held in Centennial Square is free to attend! Come out this August long weekend and enjoy a refreshing cider, while listening to the great selection of music.
August
Our charity for the month of August is the MS Society .
Friday, August 6th:
Sample a wide selection of wines and ciders from Vancouver Island and beyond at the Mount Washington Wine Fest . Tasty food samples, live music , and stunning Strathcona views will be available for all in attendance to enjoy
Saturday, August 14th – Sunday, August 15th:
The Big Time Out outdoor concert in Cumberland features a long list of artists, including K’naan and of course is featuring our cider in their beer garden!
September
Our charity for the month of September is Providence Farm .
Friday, September 3rd:
Merridale will be attending the Mt Washington Food Festival, which features many events including special guest Anthony Sedlak from the Food Network.
Friday and Saturday, September 10th-11th:
Merridale will be attending the Great Canadian Beer Fest for the 17th year! Enjoy food, entertainment, beer and of course cider for only $30 on Friday and $35 on Saturday. Tickets will go on sale July 24th.

Our charity for the month of November is the Prostate Cancer Foundation .
